Album back cover: Intergalactic Pop Music Rescue Squad Source images: music video screengrab, NASA photo The front cover and CD label can be seen on my digital illustration page. completed 9.21.05 When my data-jockeying alter ego DJ Luciernaga put together a mashup album of Beastie Boys songs, of course I needed a cover. Since the front cover was based in part on the Beastie's alien-landing-party characters from their Intergalactic music video, I decided to insert the Beasties themselves into a NASA photo. My favorite photos from the Moon are usually the earthrises, and this one from the Apollo 8 mission is at the top of the list. I simply greyscaled the boys to match the photo, pasted them in place, and added slight shadowing. It was then ready for my album notes and Space Mutiny logo. The font used is Futura Md BT, to match the front cover. Full-sized versions of the covers and the CD label are included in the album download. When printed out at 300 DPI, they are exactly the right size for a standard CD and jewel case. |

Random photo manips
This section still needs to be itemized, but until I get around to that, here are a few unsorted photo manips I've made over the years.
Sorry about the mess, it should be thumbnailed and arranged in a day or two.
